Hidden Beauties: Splicer

It's been a few days of these posts now, so for those following them, you'll be well aware that I am releasing an art book called 'Hidden Beauties', featuring a whole host of male gaming characters turned women. Of course, each of their familiar masks remain.

Thinking about my favourite masked characters, I had to include a Splicer from Bioshock. The Bioshock games are fantastic, creepy and atmospheric. Of course, I tend to revert to the creepy side of art quite a lot, so this seemed quite fitting. 

So, here's a Splicer, minus the ripped and bloodstained clothes and bandages, but still so sinister.

Hidden Beauties: Female Aku Aku!

I am currently working on putting together all of my 'Hidden Beauties' digital paintings into an art book, which I will be selling at the MCM Expo at the end of this month, then on my store after.

Mainly consisting of gaming characters, these always seem to go down well at conventions. People like to have a laugh over the male (often overly macho) characters, being turned into provocative women, whilst keeping their iconic masks.

Here's one of my latest, a female Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot, sunbathing by the sea.

I love the game Resident Evil 6.

Recently myself and my pal have been playing through the game on No-Hope.  So far it has been a cake walk.  

I drew this for my pal, as he is a Sherry fan.  We just got to chapter 2 of Jake's campaign, which is set in the snow.

Capcom owns all the rights to these characters.
