Dredd: 2 Year Anniversary

It has been 2 years to the day that Dredd hit cinemas in the UK.  I'm still hoping for a sequel and having just signed up to the nice hard-cover fortnightly graphic novel collection, I thought I should pay tribute the series.

The top right was drawn in February of this year whilst the rest were drawn back in 2012.

Hot Shot!

Lately I have been super busy with work on various projects, commissions and some agency work.

Life is good!

The picture above was originality going to be my card for Fathers Day.  I scrapped it as it didn't have a paternal theme.

I found this screen cap of the Hot Shot scene from Dredd and drew the from it.

Mega City One

Drawn as a backdrop to a piece I did for a birthday card, and based on a scene from the film Dredd (2012). 

Dredd Feature

I am a huge fan of the 2000AD comic book series Judge Dredd, so it was only natural that I would want to draw some Dredd inspired pictures!

I also saw Dredd 3D, starring a well-casted Karl Urban as the Dredd twice at the cinema. It was extremely under-rated, and deserved a lot more attention than it received!

Thankfully though, it appeared that at my latest con, the Entertainment Media Show, there were plenty of Dredd fans who seemed to like the prints I had created. Check them out below!

The Enforcer

I love Dredd and am so excited for the new film. As Dredd was primarily based on Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry. I took this pic of him 

as reference material and turned him into Dredd.
