The Kill Screen Hardcover

Today I received in the post the most luxurious of graphic novels.  A nice hardback edition of Mike Garley's: The Kill Screen.  Not only is Mike one of the nicest guys in the indie comic scene, but it also makes for a bloody good read.  There is depth and some pretty cool ideas/ social critique of the modern age in there also.

If you missed the Kickstarter and comics is your thing, definitely check it out.

In all honesty I am not the biggest comic fan.  I read my fair share in my teens and early 20's.  My favourites have to be Lone Wolf and Cub, The Watchmen and Sinister Dexter.  Which is why I was surprised by Mike's work.  It captured me and I decided to draw some fan art for it.  I mocked up a cover and sent it to him and I was thrilled to see my name in the book and my art featured.

Along the Avenue

A preview piece from a small project to get me back into comics.
It is going to be pretty rough and brief.

Under the Knife

Just a space filler:
A picture of the Alien Queen that I drew some time ago.
In seven and a half hours time, if all goes well I shall be put under the knife.  For two years I have had permanently inflamed and infected tonsils.  Resulting in on and off fever, loss of voice, vomiting and constant throat infections.

Well now it is all going to be sorted out thanks to my fiancĂ©e lobbying the local MP.

I doubt there will be a halt in productivity but if there is this is why.

In art related news having just finished the MCM all but five of my copies of Royal have been sold.  Granted my first print run of my first comic was probably too big, but now they have nearly all gone!

Due to this and a lot of interest I have decided to dust off my scripts for The Golden Lands and the next longer Royal tale.

Having completed the first part of the photo shoot for one of them today artwork will be following soon.

I also have a lot of new regarding the MCM and collaborative projects but more shall be discussed about those later!

My Interview for Pages & Panels!

The girls over at Pages and Panels have reviewed my comic work in the past. Recently, Anna of P&P got in touch with me to request an interview for the blog. As they have been so kind about my work in the past, I was more than willing to answer Anna's questions.

Click through to check out the interview: http://pagesandpanels.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/interview-with-lewis-terry-royal.html

Thank you to Anna of Pages and Panels for taking the time to interview me, and for being so enthusiastic about not only Royal, but my other comic work too!

Presenting...Twin Sword Comics!

I love comics, and have always enjoyed drawing and writing them. Therefore, I've decided that it's time I concentrate on them a little more than I used to. Since self publishing 'Royal' back in February, I've been drawing short comics pretty regularly. I love seeing my characters brought to life in these stories.

So, I've set up a new blog, Twin Sword Comics. Whilst this one is staying open to update you on a regular basis with my art goings on, Twin Sword Comics will host my assortment of comics. For now, you can read Royal, Royal: Three's Company (the first of this series was illustrated by James Stayte) and my brand new lineart comic, Mr Bear. I intend to update this as much as I can, so please head on over and take a read of what I've got up there at the moment!

Also, any comic sites reading this who wish to review the comics currently on there or would like to be sent a copy of Royal to review on their podcast or site, then please drop me an email.

Thanks all, and I hope you all enjoy the comics!
