MCM: What I Shall Be Bringing!

I shall be bringing a lot of brand new premium quality prints in various sizes to the MCM Comic Con next weekend (26th-27th October).

Here's just a small selection what I shall be bringing:
Myself with my comic "Royal" and artbook "Hidden Beauties"-both of which I shall have on my table at the con! (two of my framed pieces are present in the background).

Demonstrating the three sizes my prints will be available in.
A small selection of my prints that I will be bringing with me!

As well as a variety of prints, my comic and art book, I shall also be sketching for people!

See you there, table CG1 of Comic Village!

LFCC: Summary

I arrived at the London Film & Comic Con on Saturday 6th July. After a slow start (people didn't seem very interested in the Artists Alley for much of Saturday morning!), things really picked up for my table.

My comic, 'Royal' is now completely sold out, and I am currently in the process of producing the second edition. This second edition will have updated artwork, any small errors in the first edition are being refined, and so on. In short, it's going to be a vast improvement.

Also, thank you to everyone who visited my stall and picked up prints, a comic or my art book Hidden Beauties. To those who came over simply for a chat, I appreciate you checking out my work regardless!

So all in all, despite the quiet morning, I sold out on several prints again, Royal's sold out and I met some brilliant fellow Artist Alley people. Also, it was nice seeing the regulars once more!

A special thank you to Deakin and Marisa Brook of Newfangled Press/Inanimate Objectives for their hospitality over the weekend. Both myself and my Fiancee appreciated it!

My next convention appearance will be at the London MCM Comic Con in October. I look forward to seeing plenty of you there!

Me with my table. For some reason, Earls Court loved to over-do the yellow lighting, hence this photo's yellow glow!

I'm Exhibiting at LFCC!

The London Film & Comic Con has arrived this weekend, home to an abundance of excellent artists, celebrities to meet, take photos with and have your merchandised signed by, and much more.

This is the second time I will be exhibiting my artwork in the Artists Alley section of the con.

As of now, I am not entirely sure what my table number is, but I will be sure to let you all know via my Twitter (@twinswordtrades) once I know what section I am in!

I'll be selling a bunch of prints, including some brand new stuff which I have not exhibited before! My comic Royal will also be making another appearance (it's first at the LFCC too!) and so will my art book, 'Hidden Beauties'.

Swing by my table to have a look. I never force people to buy things-I just appreciate the kind comments about my art, and like meeting like-minded people!

So to keep up to date with my LFCC news this weekend, be sure to follow my Twitter and keep an eye on my feed.

I look forward to meeting plenty of you.

Hidden Beauties-Debuting at the London MCM Comic Con TOMORROW!

My brand new art book 'Hidden Beauties' makes it's debut on my table at the London MCM Comic Con tomorrow.

Priced at £4, the book also comes with a FREE 6x4 art print of your choice (I shall be bringing a lot!), and will be signed if desired.

Hidden Beauties contains 15 fun digital impressionistic pin-ups from nerd culture. These include female versions of: Skull Kid (Skull Girl), Master Chief (Mistress Chief), a female version of Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot, Boba Fett, Stormtrooper (Stormtroopet).

Popular female game characters have also been glammed up here, including Samus from Metroid, plus plenty more.

Previews of the book can be found in the previous posts on this blog, but I shall be showing off copies of the full glossy, high quality book at the MCM.

For those of you who cannot make it to the MCM this weekend, fear not! I updated my online store today, so Hidden Beauties can be picked up for £4 there too. The only difference is, you will be paying £2 for postage, unlike at the MCM. http://www.comicsy.co.uk/twinswordtrading/

Thanks to everyone who checks out my book and picks up a copy this weekend. Enjoy!

New Products In My Store!

I shall be at the London MCM Comic Con tomorrow and Sunday, and so I decided it was a good time to update my online store.

At the last con I exhibited at, I had a lot of people interested in buying my comic and art prints on my online store. Therefore, this time I've updated the store just before I go to MCM so that anyone who either cannot attend or does not have the money to pick up anything this weekend can browse my store and buy at their leisure from home.

Payments are completed via paypal. I keep my postage costs very cheap, and orders are sent out generally on the day of purchase or the following morning!

At the time of posting this, I am still adding a few brand new items, but there is plenty up already!

My brand new art book Hidden Beauties is also available to pick up from there (I'll sign it too!). If you cannot buy it at MCM this weekend, Hidden Beauties is £4 plus £2 postage!
Check out my online store here: http://www.comicsy.co.uk/twinswordtrading/

Thanks to everyone who has ever bought anything from my store. It means a lot!

I'm at the London MCM Comic Con This Weekend!

Con time is here again already! It seems like such a short time ago since I was last at a convention (London Super Comic Con in February).

Now this weekend I shall be at the London MCM Comic Con at the ExCel Centre (Custom House, if anyone is wondering what train station is the closest!).

I shall be in the Comic Village section of the con, along with a whole bunch of excellent artist buddies. I shall be giving them a feature in my next blog post, so stay tuned.

So to anyone who is interested, I shall be selling and showing off my comic 'Royal', preview samples of my upcoming comics, unveiling my new art book 'Hidden Beauties' and presenting a plethora of new and old prints (geek themed for the con lovers, and some original stuff too).

I am based at table E8 in Comic Village, and will be manning the table along with my Fiancé Kayleigh Powis of blogs Pages and Panels (comics) and 8-Bit Girl (gaming). Please come on over and say hi. We don't bite!

I look forward to seeing a lot of you there.

Hidden Beauties: Boba Fett

Boba Fett gets a provactive female makeover for my upcoming small press book 'Hidden Beauties', as you can see below.

I will also be including my piece 'Stormtroopet', which you can view here:

Hidden Beauties will be available to pick up at the MCM Comic Con at the end of this month, then I'll be making it available on my Comicsy store thereafter!

Hidden Beauties: Splicer

It's been a few days of these posts now, so for those following them, you'll be well aware that I am releasing an art book called 'Hidden Beauties', featuring a whole host of male gaming characters turned women. Of course, each of their familiar masks remain.

Thinking about my favourite masked characters, I had to include a Splicer from Bioshock. The Bioshock games are fantastic, creepy and atmospheric. Of course, I tend to revert to the creepy side of art quite a lot, so this seemed quite fitting.

So, here's a Splicer, minus the ripped and bloodstained clothes and bandages, but still so sinister.

Keep checking back on the blog for more updates on the book! It'll be available to buy at the MCM Comic Con on the 25th-26th May, as well as on my Comicsy online store once the convention is over. If you're interested in reserving a copy, please let me know by sending me an email!

Hidden Beauties: Call of Duty (Ghost)

I am currently putting together a collection of my 'Hidden Beauties' for an art book, which will be making it's debut at the MCM Comic Con at the end of this month. I shall be selling it on my online store thereafter.

Here's a new one from the book, Ghost from Call of Duty, as a woman!

Hidden Beauties: Shy Girl

I'll be launching my 'Hidden Beauties' art book at the MCM Expo at the end of this month, and will be selling it on my store thereafter.

Here's one of the pieces that has made it into the book-Shy Guy becomes Shy Girl!

Hidden Beauties: Red vs Blue

As I've previously mentioned, I'm getting together my collection of 'Hidden Beauties' for an art book which will be making it's debut at the MCM Expo at the end of this month. I'll be selling it on my online store thereafter.

Here's Red vs. Blue (Halo), with a provocative makeover.

Hidden Beauties: Female Creeper

Here's another digital painting that I'll be including in my 'Hidden Beauties' art book which will be making it's debut at the MCM Expo at the end of this month. If you are interested in buying a copy, let me know so I can reserve you one!

Here's a female Creeper, from Minecraft.

Hidden Beauties: Female Aku Aku!

I am currently working on putting together all of my 'Hidden Beauties' digital paintings into an art book, which I will be selling at the MCM Expo at the end of this month, then on my store after.

Mainly consisting of gaming characters, these always seem to go down well at conventions. People like to have a laugh over the male (often overly macho) characters, being turned into provocative women, whilst keeping their iconic masks.

Here's one of my latest, a female Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot, sunbathing by the sea.
